May 13 - Sept. 21, 2008 Wicked

Julie has joined the Broadway company of Wicked.  Rehersals are underway and Julie will be standing by for Elphaba starting May 13.

Based on Gregory Maguire´s novel, which turned every Oz myth inside out, Wicked explores the early life of the witches of Oz: Glinda and Elphaba. The two main characters meet at Shiz, a school where both hope to take up sorcery. Glinda is madly popular and Elphaba is, well, green. By a misunderstanding, they wind up roommates and, after an initial period of mutual loathing, begin to learn something about each other. Their life paths continue to intersect through a shared love, entry into the Emerald City and interaction with the Wizard himself. Eventually, their choices and convictions take them on widely different paths.

May 4, 2008 Tales from the Bad Years
9:45pm at the Laurie Beechman Theatre
located within the West Bank Café at 407 West 42nd Street at 9th Ave

TALES FROM THE BAD YEARS is a series of short, self-contained stories in the form of songs and musical scenes from those years when you're waiting for something big to happen but it never does. From the first time you try to make the Thanksgiving turkey and screw it up, to the moment when you realize your childhood is over, these stories are about youth, determination, and unexpected love. They capture the frustration of wanting to get away from the lot you chose, the titillation of flirting with someone new, and that time you got so drunk that you ended up taking your shirt off and dancing on
table - just an example. These are the songs you wish someone sang to you, the anecdotes you love hearing again and again, and the moments of epiphany that every person has. The bad years make the best stories.

Directed by Daniel Goldstein and produced by Michael Cassara

There is a $20 cover charge and a $15 food/drink minimum. Call (212) 695-6909 for reservations. EXTREMELY limited seating available - reservations are necessary.
